November visit with Grandpa

We had a great time visiting New Jersey. We went on a hay ride and played in the hay maze on a beautiful sunny day. We also met up with Jill, Brian, Jaiden and Justin our friends who moved to NJ.

Batman gets his outfit

Dylan's First Day of Preschool

The day has finally arrived. I am not sure who was more excited (me, Dylan or Ada). Dylan had a great day. He got along with all his new friends, had a chance to play with a few small real turtles (one tried to get away but the teacher saved him), and ate only his clementines for lunch. We are all looking forward to Thursday morning!

Switch Running

Today was the Plymouth half marathon that Rick convinced me to run with him. I really had no interest in running it but we both thought it would be nice to run one last race together. He plans to have hip replacement surgery in November after he completes the New York City Marathon on November 1st.

To make a long run short... Rick's hip pain was way worse that he thought it would be. We completed the race with a combination of running and walking the whole time. During the run Rick came to the realization that he would not be able to complete the marathon and asked me if I would do it.

SO... Now I am going to be running in the NYC Marathon on Nov 1st and I am really excited about it. I feel bad for Rick since he can't accomplish something he really wants to do but I am glad he is not going to hurt himself in the process.
